World Down Syndrome Day Celebrated at Sun Gardens Dubrovnik

To mark World Down Syndrome Day, Sun Gardens Dubrovnik once again welcomed members and families of the Down Syndrome Association Dubrovnik – Dubrovnik-Neretva County on March 22. Continuing a wonderful tradition, the gathering took place at the Sports Centre, filled with smiles, laughter, and countless heartwarming moments.

The cheerful atmosphere was contagious as children and young adults enjoyed sports activities and shared time together — a beautiful reminder of the importance of inclusion, understanding, and friendship.

As the Association so beautifully put it:
"What we carry with us from these two days are not just beautiful memories. We carry an important reminder that people with Down syndrome should not be seen through their limitations, but through their abilities. Their perseverance, warmth, and joy inspire us to be better people."

The Down Syndrome Association Dubrovnik – DNŽ brings together children, young people, and their families, offering support, education, and advocacy for the rights of individuals with Down syndrome. It is a community built on understanding, acceptance, and empowerment.
