The 17th Dubrovnik Table

Some traditions are best shared at the table, and this year the table stretched the length of Stradun.

On Saturday, 17 October 2026, Dubrovnik’s Stradun turned into one long, festive dining table. The 17th Dubrovnik Table (Dubrovačka trpeza), a traditional gastronomic event held as part of the 13th Good Food Festival, gathered local restaurateurs, residents and visitors for a celebration of Dubrovnik’s culinary heritage.

This year’s edition set a new record with a table stretching 170 metres along the city’s main street. Sixty participants, including hotels, restaurants, winemakers, pastry chefs, bakers and family farms, came together to share a taste of what they create. Beyond the food, visitors were treated to a live performance by Klapa Kaše in front of St Blaise’s Church, adding the sound of traditional Dalmatian a cappella singing to a beautiful autumn morning full of activity.

Good food for a good cause

The Dubrovnik Table is about more than gastronomy. Through the sale of tasting vouchers, the event raised €20,289.99 for the Association of the Blind of Dubrovnik-Neretva County and the Association of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing of Dubrovnik-Neretva County. It’s a reminder of how much a community can achieve when it gathers around a shared table.

Dubrovnik Table 2026

Our team’s contribution

The dedicated Sun Gardens Dubrovnik team was proud to take part, presenting a selection of traditional specialities that reflect the flavours of the region. Guests could taste a Dubrovnik-style octopus salad, tuna “na savur” with raisins prepared in the traditional marinated style, and Dalmatian pašticada served with potato gnocchi. Squid and octopus “u toću”, a slow-cooked stew, came with baked polenta, while those with a sweet tooth could enjoy carob and bitter orange cake, mini chestnut roulades, and walnut and chocolate cake. Many of these recipes have been passed down through generations of Dubrovnik families, and preparing them is our way of keeping that heritage alive and sharing it with guests from around the world.

Why it matters to us

For us, sustainability means more than reducing our footprint. It also means supporting the community we are part of, celebrating local producers and preserving the traditions that make this region unique. Events like the Dubrovnik Table bring all of this together, and we are grateful to the organisers, fellow participants and every visitor who joined us on Stradun.

We look forward to setting the table again next year.
