December Sustainability Highlights

Although the resort is closed for the winter, we’ve been busy with meaningful initiatives and projects. Here’s a look at what we’ve been up to this December.

Supporting Charity Through Sweet Treats

On December 7, we took part in the traditional "Cake Party" charity event within the Dubrovnik Winter Festival, to which we contributed three delicious cakes. The proceeds of the evening went to the "Smile for a Smile" initiative, set up by the Sorriso association for those in need during the holiday season.

Bitter Orange Donation for a Good Cause

After harvesting them from our resort, we donated bitter oranges to the DEŠA organization. These common fruits contribute to the well-known Dubrovnik bitter orange jam, a product that greatly contributes to the region's heritage. This initiative from DEŠA started in 2009 as a form of unifying small family farms and standardizing this type of regional specialty. Nowadays, the jam is a popular gastronomic souvenir and 10 per cent of its sales are donated to a fund which supports women victims of violence and women in need.

Our Olive Harvest

With more than one ton of olives harvested, we were able to produce 180 liters of premium olive oil at the end of the harvest. This will benefit the resort in 2025 and demonstrate our appreciation for using locally grown produce and sustainability.

Looking Ahead to 2025

As we conclude another successful year, we are already working on exciting projects and initiatives planned for 2025. These will further reinforce our commitment to sustainable practices and active involvement in the community. Be it sustainable production, charity contributions, or preserving local traditions, we are committed to creating a positive impact throughout the year.
